Spokane and Eastern WA Wedding and Boudoir Photography
I had the pleasure of working the Blackerby/Holzer Women recently. This session was part of the Real Women, Real Beauty project. The women joined me in my studio for a fun afternoon filled with makeup (by Shasta Hankins), clothes, accessories, and of course my camera. Grandma Karen, Mom Amy, and the Girls- Alysia, Peyton, and Maylea celebrated their inner and outer beauty capturing this amazing time in their lives.
As we were going through the session, I showed Alysia a picture of her I had
Remember, the 12 Days of Christmas Giveaway from last year? Well, the S Family was one of the winners of the giveaway. They won a free family session, plus 3 free digital images. Between our wacky weather that we had this spring and the S Family moving we had to wait awhile to get them out for the session. I think it was worth the wait though! The session took place during one of our funky days- cool, cloudy, and looking like it was about to rain at any second, most of the day. In fact
Who wants to have some fun this summer? If you’re like me summer is fun, but can be a bit overwhelming trying figure out what to do to keep the kids busy. Going to the park is great, but something else fun and different is always good too!
A couple years ago the kids and I took part in an scavenger hunt with an on-line group. It was a picture scavenger hunt and 2 summers later my kids still talk about it! So, I had the idea to put together one for families in the greater Spokane area
Meet the Peil Family! Momma, Hillary is the creator of Metallic Bloom (more on that later!), and of course she had everyone dressed beautifully. I had the pleasure of working with the whole family for some new family pictures. The twins- 3 year olds K & J kept me on my toes and entertained! Then there is 9 month old H and he was just a cutie, who obviously adores his older brother and sister. We lucked out that the session took place on one of our gorgeous May evenings. The session
Last night was my daughter’s ballet recital. The teacher talked about how many sisters she had taking lessons and how the girls had asked to be able to do dances with just their sisters. Then there were a couple girls who didn’t have any sisters and they became sisters by choice, supporting each other and dancing with each other.
This session featured both sisters by choice and sisters by birth. The Anderson family girls- Molly, Rachel, and Maggie have become sisters by choice
I love this time of the year. Christmas is over; a New Year ready to begin. Time to reflect on all the that has happened in the year almost done, and ready to tackle a New Year. I love getting out a new calendar and going through it and marking (yes, I still use a pen and paper version) all the important events, birthdays, and anniversaries to come. The making new goals, and dreaming of what could be fills me with inspiration and hope. We’ll talk more about that later.
Today is all
Can you believe this is the first REAL family pictures we’ve had done? Sometimes being a photographer isn’t the easiest thing for your own family! Our last family pictures were done about 5 years ago…. yikes!! About 3 years ago I had my sister snap a couple of us that I set all up, but that is easier said than done.
A few weeks ago I received a phone call from Nancy, with Picture This Photography in West Linn, OR. We met last year after attending After Dark Education a
Staci was the winner of the 500 fan giveaway over on Facebook. As we started talking about what she wanted to do for her session she mentioned doing a family session in the fall with all the fall colors. Although a very beautiful setting in Spokane, it just didn’t scream Staci to me. I’ve known Staci for about 4 years or more. Staci is a nail technician over at Glitter Salon and we met while she gave me an amazing pedicure while I was pregnant with my little girlie. Staci and
