Flash Back Friday- Sara

TGIF!!!  It is Friday and that means it is time for another flash back!  Today’s flash back features Sara from the Class of 2012 from Nine Mile Falls High School.  Sara’s session took place in the summer of 2011 at the Finch Arboretum and at the Creatively Yours outdoor studio.  She was also one of my senior models and had her senior model session done at her home in Nine Mile Falls.  One of my favorite moments of working with Sara that summer was during her model session.  We came to the most beautiful wood area full of my favorite purple wildflowers.  I told her I wanted her to lay down in the flowers.  She looked at me like I was crazy… lay down in the dirt?  I promised I would clean her up afterwards, but that it would be worth it.  When I showed her the image on the back of my camera she agreed, and to this day it remains one of my favorite pictures!

Spring, What?

04.10.13

It is the 10th!  And, time for another edition of 10 on 10 with my 4 the Love of Focus girls!  Each month on the 10th of each month, 10 photographers joined together to post 10 images from our last month.  Some photographers chose to document an entire day with 10 photos, others share 10 photos from the past month, some shared all iphone pictures, it didn’t matter it was just us committing to document our lives in more real and definitely more consistent way.

Easter often marks the beginning of Spring, but here in Spokane this year it felt like the beginning of Summer at almost 70 degrees!  I have to confess that when I get a calendar each year one of the first things I do is look to see when Easter falls.  When I saw it was on March 31st this year I was so disappointed.  I was all ready to pile on the sweaters, boots, tights, and coats.  Imagine my surprise when as the day got closer the weather report looked like anything but.  Instead of the sweaters, boots, tights, and coats we sported short sleeves and sandals!  Before we headed over to my parents I had to take advantage of cute kids in cute clothes and take some pictures. We got to spend part of the day with my family and some of the kids cousins.  It was the perfect day for an Easter egg hunt and a little baseball!

Flash Back Friday- Miranda

So, last Friday totally got missed, but I’m back with another one of my favorite senior sessions.  Miranda, a member of the Class of 2012, senior session comes to us circa 2011.  Miranda traveled to Spokane from Newport to have me do her senior pictures.  For her session we decided to visit People’s Park- an amazing location to have your pictures done both by the water, in a field, and a bridge.  I love locations that offer lots of variety and that can definitely be found here!

Miranda admitted to me that she was pretty nervous about her pictures.  She didn’t feel like she was very photogenic or that she would know what to do.  To me that is one of the biggest reasons to hire me as a professional photographer.  I will help you relax, be yourself, and give you the directions needed to pose you and make look your very best.  At the end of her session Miranda told me that she actual had a lot of fun and felt totally relaxed.

From glamor girl to the basketball star I loved every look Miranda came with, and that we were able to capture every side of her personality.  I hope that years from now Miranda and her Mom, Annie can look back at her pictures and remember this special time in their family and Miranda’s life.

This year I’m excited to offer an alternative to the boring prom photographer!  Come see me before the excitement of the night begins and let me capture some fun, creative, and UNIQUE images for you to treasure from your big night out.  I have several packages to chose from for you.  You can add additional images to any packages at al a carte pricing, or upgrade your package at time of ordering.  All packages must be pre-paid 2 weeks prior to prom to hold your date and time.

JV Session-  $60
20 minute session for one couple
Gallery with 5-7 Images to choose from
2- digital images to print and share on line.

 Varsity-  $90
20 minute session for one couple
Gallery with 5-7 images to choose from

3- digital images to print and share on line, plus a personalized app to share your pictures.

Ivy League-  $120
20 minute session for one couple
Gallery with 7-10 images
6- digital images to print and share on-line, plus a personalized app to share your pictures.

 The Group -  $250
1 hour session for 3 couples, or 6 people
Gallery with 15-20 images
10- digital images to print and share on-line

The Whole Gang- $500

1.5-2 hour session for up to 8 couples, or 16 people.

Gallery with 30-40 images

25- digital images to print and share on-line.

High School Sweet Heart and BFF Contest

Senior Picture season is right around the corner!  I love my high school seniors!  Documenting this amazing time in your life is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I hope you’ll choose to work with me to create these memories.

To kick off the season I’m giving away a free BFF session!  This session is for you and your best friend or you and your boyfriend/girlfriend.  You’ll receive a free session and 10 free social media images, plus if you have a smart phone you’ll receive an app with your images to display on your phone or tablet, as well as 5 free 5x7s each.

The Details:
1. You MUST be a fan of Creatively Yours Photography on Facebook.
2. You or your sweetheart/Bff must be in Highschool (one can have graduated HS already).
3. Email a photo of you & your sweetheart/bff to kellyq@creativelyyoursphotography.net with the subject line: Contest. Include: Your High School & the names of both people.

Only 1 photo will be accepted. No Professional photos. Limit 2 people per entry.

Contest starts NOW! Ends March 31st, and the winner will be announced on April 1st- kick off your Spring Break in a great way.

Get your photo’s in early, the sooner you get them in the sooner your friends can vote! Negative comments on images will be deleted. I will upload your image to the fb album, once I have uploaded it you can upload the same image to Instagram for more votes!
