Who is ready for another edition of About Town? Today’s feature is about Spokane’s Premier Consignment Shop- Lollipop Lemondrop!

It is the 10th! And, time for another edition of 10 on 10 with my 4 the Love of Focus girls! Each month on the 10th of each month, 10 photographers joined together to post 10 images from our last month. Some photographers chose to document an entire day with 10 photos, others share 10 photos from the past month, some shared all iphone pictures, it didn’t matter it was just us committing to document our lives in more real and definitely more consistent way.
My little girl is 5. I cannot believe it! The time has gone way too quickly and I’m having a hard time grasping the fact that she will be starting kindergarten in the fall! For her birthday party we decided on a lalaloopsy theme. She loves the dolls and even more she loves all the bright colors, fun accessories, and of course their pets! We had so much fun looking at pinterest for ideas. She immediately gravitated to certain ideas, and thank goodness she had realistic ideas of her momma’s abilities, especially in the cake making department! I surprised her with the little tree and Daddy found the mini lalaloopsy dolls to use part of our centerpiece decorations. There are so many different Lalaloopsy dolls out there that we really could have gone in so many directions. She decided she wanted everything to be styled after one of her favorite dolls- Sugar Crumb Cookie.
We found her “lalaloopsy dress” at the Gap along with her shoes and tights. I made the hair bow for her… my first one! For the party with her friends she wanted lalaloopsy hair, but decided it took too long and was too painful so she opted out for the party with the family.

O-mygoodness… so adorable!! Your decorations are perfect! Did you make the tissue paper puff balls? Link please… otherwise I’ll have to stalk your pins
That is adorable!!! I love all your details and decorations and that last picture with her cake is just darling!
It is always a honor to be able to work with another photographer, but when that photographer is one of your best friends it is even more special! In the fall my friend Ariana and I did a swap- I shot her family and she did mine. Those self-timer shots just don’t cut it when you want a really great family photo. I was excited to not only capture pictures of their whole family, but also to pictures of Ariana with each of her children. Too often as Mom’s (and especially when you’re the photographer) we’re the ones behind the camera and don’t get enough pictures of us with our little ones. I loved capturing these moments they are so special and we can’t forget them!
We met up at the beautiful Finch Arboretum in Spokane- where you can find some of the very best fall colors in town and I got to work with her family. If you’re a photographer you also know that being a photographer’s child can be a tortured state. They unfortunately have a camera stuck in their face way too often. I set to work with my usual fare of silly faces, noises, and of course my famous, “There is a frog in my camera” trick (ask anyone child that has worked with me). Luckily working with your friend’s mom can be a lot more fun than working with your own mom, so I got some fairly cooperative kiddos.

These are beautiful Kelly! Thank you so much for capturing these sweet moments for me and my family!
So beautiful. LOVE the warm autumn colors especially.
It is time for another round of Flash Back Friday! Each Friday I’m featuring an old senior senior session on the blog. I love all my seniors and the fact that each session is unique and special for them. Today’s session is all about Angelica! She is a member of the Class of 2012. Her pictures were done in the fall of 2011, and I love all the beautiful fall colors! As we chatted prior to her session she talked about wanting something outdoors in the fall colors that were spectacular that year. I took her to People’s Park, which I love because it basically provides 3 totally unique looks all in one location- the field with the trees, the bridge, and down by the water. Angelica’s session became what I called, “The Bohemian Beauty”.

I’m so excited to start another fun feature here on the blog. In the past couple years I’ve fallen in love with several local businesses. These businesses, some well known, others not as much as so important to our city. I’ve come to know many of these business owners personally and have come to love shopping in their stores!
Over the course of the next few months I want to share some of these businesses with you. I hope you’ll go in and visit them and tell them that you heard about them from me!
First up is Finders Keepers! I have to say like many people I’ve always thought of Finders Keepers as an upscale Prom boutique and jewelry store. A few years ago I went in to talk to the then owner, Deena Carouso and discovered it was so much more! Finders Keepers has been a partner with me to give the Bright Light Award to a deserving senior the past 2 years and I’m excited to share that they are on board for another year thanks to Allyssa Heiskell, the daughter of Deena and new owner of Finders Keepers.

I visited the boutique a few weeks ago to take some pictures to share with you just all that they have to offer. I absolutely love shopping there! Each time I walk in I’m greeted with a friendly smile and an immediate offer to help me with whatever I’m looking for. I went in last summer in hopes of finding a couple new outfits to shoot a wedding in and for array of bridal showers and baby showers I knew I’d be attending in the next months. Alyssa herself assisted me in finding the best dresses for me, not an easy task! She didn’t disappoint me when I went in again looking for a dress that I could not only shoot my sisters wedding in, but also look pretty in.

Finders Keepers is located at 18 W Main and is open 7 days a week. Be sure to “like” their facebook page to stay up to date on specials, new products, and all sorts of fun!
What an adorable store!!! I wish we had one like that by me!
