It is the 10th of the month… I can’t believe it… so that means it is time for another 10 on 10 post! So, what is 10 on 10 you may ask?
10 on 10 is 10 photographers, posting 10 images on the 10th of each month. This is a personal project that I’m starting with a group of 10 other photographers. We are all members of 4 the Love Focus, an on-line forum for professional women photographers. After you’re done here you can click the link below to go visit the next photographer in our little group-
Sadly for a lot of professional photographers, myself very much included, our own family photographers of the daily happenings in our lives are left not documented. For myself I found that the more I learned about my camera the less I’ve used it for images of everyday life. I’m constantly thinking about ISO, shutter speeds, light…. and not about capturing these precious moments in my children’s lives. That is why I’ve joined this 10 on 10 group. These images while not technically perfect are capturing my children and our lives.
So, of course for many of us the big event last month was Halloween! Usually for us Halloween means getting some super cute costumes and then covering them up with coats. It always makes me sad, but you do what you got to do. lol This year we were super lucky to have the most mild weather I can ever remember for a Halloween night- low 50s at trick or treating time. LOVED it! Plus, we got to go out trick or treating with all bigger cousins! First off was the first photo op for all 6 grandchildren.
Costume wise Aubrey got the ball rolling for us this year. She quickly decided after just looking 1x that she wanted to be Batgirl, the pink costumed version of course. Riley decided it be a lot of fun to follow suit and be Batman. They immediately started talking about how much fun it would be together and of course the first thing I thought of was how much fun we could have doing pictures. They did not let me down! The totally got into their super hero poses, action kicks, boomerang throwing, and smoke grenade tossing.
Now, I hope you’ll continue on through our little circle to my friend- Milwaukee Photographer Melissa Schuett
