It is the 10th of the month… I can’t believe it… so that means it is time for another 10 on 10 post! So, what is 10 on 10 you may ask?
10 on 10 is 10 photographers, posting 10 images on the 10th of each month. This is a personal project that I’m starting with a group of 10 other photographers. We are all members of 4 the Love Focus, an on-line forum for professional women photographers. After you’re done here you can click the link below to go visit the next photographer in our little group-
Sadly for a lot of professional photographers, myself very much included, our own family photographers of the daily happenings in our lives are left not documented. For myself I found that the more I learned about my camera the less I’ve used it for images of everyday life. I’m constantly thinking about ISO, shutter speeds, light…. and not about capturing these precious moments in my children’s lives. That is why I’ve joined this 10 on 10 group. These images while not technically perfect are capturing my children and our lives.
This month I chose to share images from the 4th of July, also known as Pop (or the recently coined Pop-Pop), and or my Dad’s birthday! It is always a fun day since it seems to be one of the few family birthdays we have that we’re almost guaranteed nice weather. We got to host the big shebang this year- bbq ribs, some baseball, frisbee, power wheel riding, pie, dress up, pop its and more. If you haven’t heard I come from a big family. I am the oldest of 7 kids, so as the older ones of us have gotten married , and started having kids we’ve gone from a lot of us to a LOT of us. lol
The battle of the Girl Cousins vs. the Boy Cousins… Aubrey and Eleanor are excited to welcome Hanley to their side of the team so they will be all even again!TThe littlest Sonneland, at least for a couple more months…. until little Hanley arrives! They finally got to be “fancy” for Pop’s party.
