Cruisin’ the Caribbean {Spokane WA Photographer}

Time for part II of my Cruise post.  Hang on it’s a long one! :)  After leaving New Orleans we set out of the Norwegian Spirit for the Caribbean.  Our first stop was Costa Maya, Mexico.  We decided to head to the beach and we were so glad we did.  We took about a 20 min. trip on a bus to the most gorgeous resort like spot.  The sand was beyond gorgeous, bright blue reclining chairs lined the beach, with hammocks spread out through the beach.  As we walked down the beach we came to a deserted part of the beach.  It was here that I took the bulk of my photos for the entire trip.  In fact right now I’m sitting looking at a big stand out print of one of my beach shots.

Our next stop was Belize City.  In Belize we opted just to take it easy, no excursion.  My foot was pretty sore, after just a little bit of walking around we decided to head back to the boat for some rest, movie, and pool time.

The very next day took us to one of our favorite places in the whole world- Roatan, Honduras.  It is a small island off the coast of the Honduras.  This was our 3rd time to Roatan, but it had been 6 years since the last time, and we were amazed and how much it had changed, and become more tourist oriented in that time.  It was still stunningly beautiful, a piece of paradise for sure!  We started in a nature preserve that was gorgeous with lots of lizards, flowers, trees, and MONKEYS!  The monkeys were there for us to hold and feed.  It was quite the experience.

Our last day took us to Cozumel, Mexico.  Another stop we’d been to previously.  We opted to just hang around shore again in Cozumel.  After one last day on the boat we headed back to New Orleans and back to our babies.  One of my favorite things on the ship was definitely watching the sunset each night.  Here is a shot of one that Steve actually took.
