Back in November I had the joy of being able to photograph my cousin Gina, who I had not seen in a very, very long time. So long, that we were having trouble when exactly it was, but suffice it it say she was just a little girl. She was here for a visit to celebrate with our family as my baby sister got married. It was a short trip, but we made sure to take some time out for a little photo shoot. Gina graduated early from high school and never got to do her senior pictures, so I was more than happy to take care of that for her, even if it was about a year late.
When I asked Gina what she wanted to do for her pictures all she told me was that she wanted to have trees in the background. When she got here she laughing told my Aunts that she didn’t remember that there were trees every where here. Trees were definitely not a problem, so with a couple layers of clothes on (it was cold for a California Girl!), and umbrellas (’cause of course it decided to pour rain right up until we walked out of the car to shoot!) we set out to not only get some amazing senior pictures, but also get to know each other a little bit better.
I took Gina out to Mirabeau Point Park, knowing the trees would be plentiful as well as the river, and the mountains in the distance. It was perfect for an outdoor senior session location with such a wide variety of backdrops available to us. After we finished up there we headed back into downtown Spokane to one of my favorite spots for a urban location.
