You see this isn’t just any couple this is my baby sister and my soon to be brother-in-law. This is “Queen” Victoria and Brad. When she was little we affectionately nicknamed her the Queen. She definitely knew what she wanted and she had us all wrapped around her tiny little fingers to get what she wanted. In fact my daughter reminds me a lot of Tori when she was the same age. It has been so much to watch Tori and Brad together. I don’t ever remember her being quite so
happy, content, excited, GIDDY! that is the the best way I can describe her. It is truly a story of young love and finding the right person, in the right moment, and seizing it.
For the engagement session I really wanted to do something fun and different. Yes, Spokane is beautiful city and there are so many gorgeous settings we could have chosen from, but I was really wanting to try something new. So, we made the little road trip out to the Attic in Hayden, ID. The Attic is an amazing vintage rental company. If you fall in love with the Attic settings like I did and would like to have a session at the Attic I’d love to take you!
Since it was about 98 degrees we did the shoot I knew that makeup would be an issue. So, of course we turned to Shasta Hankins, an independent makeup artist, to do Victoria’s makeup. It of course looked amazing, just as I’ve come to expect from Shasta, but what amazed me was that despite the heat it looked just as good at the end of the shoot as it did at the beginning!
Since there were so many fun things we wanted to do I have too many pictures to share in just one blog post, so stay tuned for a post later with part two.
This first series was so much fun to shoot. It played out as a story in my head…
Girl sits looking beautiful on a swing, boy sneaks up behind her, girl’s eyes light up when she sees who it is, the kiss and capturing them moment of just them lost in each other, the ring that signals the beginning of their journey together.
